The 13th edition of the annual Best Employers in Canada study was launched March 9. Canadian organizations have until the end of May to register.
The study by Aon Hewitt—a leader in human capital consulting and outsourcing solutions—will measure employee engagement in participating firms, to help them know where changes to people practices must be made in order to sustain and improve engagement. It is well known that the higher employee engagement, the lower absenteeism, which translates into increased productivity, revenue and customer satisfaction.
The study has two parts: organizations that have operated in Canada for at least three years can participate in either the Best Small & Medium Employers study—for those with 50 to 399 employees, or the Best Employers study—for those with 400 or more employees. The results of the annual ranking will be published in the fall in La Presse newspaper and Maclean’s magazine. The Best Small & Medium Employers will be named in Profit magazine. Furthermore, participants will also be eligible for The Green 30 list of employers with the most eco-friendly practices, to be published this year by Maclean’s and Canadian Business
