Danish employees strike for more beer

Employees of Danish brewer Carlsberg in Copenhagen went on strike for a week to protest a decrease in their daily beer ration. They stopped working from April 7 to 19 because management had decided to cut the ration from three bottles to one a day.

Warehouse workers started the strike, and were joined in solidarity by the drivers. “We have agreed with management that we will meet very soon to find a temporary solution while waiting for a legal settlement of the matter,” said union delegate Michael Christensen.
