Job hunters go head-to-head on TVA

A new show called “La chasse à l’emploi” is being launched on the Quebec TV market.

It will be shown on TVA starting May 11, with a prize of $5,000 to the job hunter who does the best job convincing the audience of his or her talents. Some 15 people selected by the network will try their luck on TV “using all their daring and creativity” to win over viewers.

This televised contest, presented by Claire Lamarche, is open to job hunters in all fields, including entrepreneurs and recent graduates. The only pre-requisite is to be ready to do what it takes to prove oneself to employers. Interested candidates are invited to send TVA an “original and imaginative” video application by March 16.

In parallel to the contest, the channel will also present these willing candidates to staffing firms. These pairings will of course be aired on the show. Would TVA be the first TV recruiting firm? Recruiters in search of colourful candidates, tune in!
