The British Security Service is recruiting. . . No longer do you need to graduate from Cambridge or Oxford to join MI5. A big advertising campaign on buses and public spaces has just been launched by Her Majesty’s secret service to hire staff with expertise in the new information technologies.
The cyber attack against Estonia, supposedly orchestrated by its Russian neighbour, is perhaps behind this initiative. Nevertheless, the fact is that many Western intelligence services are currently organizing this type of recruiting campaign, all proportions considered.
Even if MI5 claims it wants to hire data entry operators as well as future “007s,” one might question whether running classified ads is worthy of a James Bond!
