Job Description:

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources and Occupational Health & Safety, the Human Resources and Employee Experience Generalist is responsible for the day-to-day function of HR in the Calgary office, ensuring compliance on all employment regulations and company processes. You will work closely with the Administration and Occupational Health & Safety Coordinator, as well as a team of Human Resources Managers across six locations. This is a part-time salaried position covering a maternity leave, with a term of 13 months.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director of Human Resources and Occupational Health & Safety in being an advisor and coach with employees, and Calgary Leadership on Employee Relations issues.
  • Administer Calgary office’s full recruitment process and occasionally support resort specific domestic & foreign implementation plans including but not limited to LMIA and IEC visa applications.
  • Conduct the onboarding and exit interview processes, providing feedback to Calgary office leadership.
  • Partner with the Administration and Occupational Health & Safety Coordinator to support with formal and informal recognition and appreciation programs including Education and Training Requests (ETR), newsletters, lunch & learns, employee appreciation events, and Long-Term Service Awards (LTSA).
  • Oversee preparation and logistics for the annual companywide retreat and four area manager meetings.
  • Administer employee privileges documentation and reciprocals process offered to all resort employees.
  • Support the Director of Human Resources and Occupational Health & Safety with employee engagement initiatives including but limited to the Employee Pulse Survey, roll-out, data collection, reporting and action planning activities.
  • Support with the transfer of training content onto the internal Learning Management System.
  • Utilize Performance Management Programs for both Seasonal and Core employees in the Calgary office and facilitate Personal Development Plans process.
  • Attend career fairs and act as an ambassador for the company.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources programs and administration.
  • Demonstrated previous experience in risk mitigation and employee relations with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • A background in recruitment with knowledge of foreign worker program processes.
  • Previous experience organizing employee and companywide events.
  • Organized, self-starter, with an ability to work independently, manage multiple projects tasks concurrently, set priorities, and multi-task.
  • Experience preparing communication materials.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and conflict management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, Applicant Tracking Systems, Learning Management Systems, and Online Survey Software.

Working Conditions:

  • Flexibility in hours of work may be required, including occasional weekend and evening
  • Computer work and some lifting required (up to 50 pounds)
  • Part-time position, located in Calgary, AB.
