Position Summary:

The Operations Training Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing training programs for manufacturing and assembly personnel in an aircraft production environment. This role ensures that employees are equipped with the necessary technical skills, regulatory knowledge, and safety awareness to support high-quality, efficient, and compliant aircraft production.

Key Responsibilities:

Training Program Development & Delivery

  • Oversee and participate in the design, implementation, and management of training programs for manufacturing and assembly operations, covering topics such as:
    • Aircraft structure and systems assembly.
    • Blueprint reading and interpretation.
    • Safety protocols and compliance.
    • Quality control and inspection processes.
  • Coordinate the development and update of training materials, manuals, work instructions, and e-learning content to align with evolving manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Conduct hands-on on-the-job training instruction, training sessions, and on-the-job coaching for employees at all levels.
  • Administer the on-the-job training program activities.

Onboarding & Continuous Improvement

  • Coordinate and facilitate onboarding training for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into manufacturing and assembly roles.
  • Identify skill gaps and provide targeted training plans and solutions to improve workforce capabilities.
  • Work with engineering, production, and quality teams to integrate process changes and improvements into training programs.

Compliance & Certification

  • Ensure all manufacturing and assembly personnel meet regulatory training requirements, including FAA, EASA, and internal company standards.
  • Maintain accurate training records and certifications for all employees, ensuring audit readiness.
  • Monitor and assess training effectiveness through evaluations, skills assessments, and production performance metrics.

Collaboration & Support

  • Partner with operations managers, HR, Quality, HSE, Academy training team and subject matter experts to develop customized training programs and initiatives.
  • Support cross-functional training initiatives to enhance workforce flexibility and efficiency.
  • Stay up to date with industry advancements, regulatory changes, and new manufacturing technologies to continuously improve training programs.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Ability to coordinate training within an aircraft manufacturing and assembly environment.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft structures, components, and assembly processes.
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry regulations:
  • Effective communication, instructional, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop training materials using various formats (written, digital, hands-on).
  • Proficiency in learning and competency management systems and training tracking tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, FAA, EASA will be a benefit.

Education & Experience:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in aviation technology or engineering, Advanced diploma in Aviation technology.
  • Aircraft Maintenance Technician.
  • Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing training, preferably in the aerospace industry.
