Hybrid Work:
This is a hybrid work position in Calgary, Alberta and requires in-person collaboration at the WestJet Campus (22 Aerial Place NE) 3 days per week. This provides flexibility the remaining 40% of the work week. This hybrid work plan allows for critically important learning, collaboration and networking with our colleagues. Specific days in the office are agreed upon by the team.
Reporting to the Director of Procurement, Process, & Strategy, this key position will contribute, develop and drive the evolution of the Procurement Excellence journey at WestJet. Working with the procurement teams, business stakeholders, corporate departments, and suppliers, the successful candidate will be the central point for all procurement related communications, training and management of changes.
This position is responsible for ensuring procurement team and stakeholders understand and can expertly use the procurement systems, tools, policies, processes and procedures. A key responsibility is to articulate and communicate the vision and progress of team's capability and functional excellence strategy.
The candidate will have superior communication skill and significant experience in strengthening the functions capability through leading edge communication, training and change management methods and techniques. Working within the Process & Strategy team, the role will co-develop and improve the technology & data roadmap, process documentation, talent and engagement plan, continuous improvement & benchmarking, and category & supplier performance capability.
An expert communicator, this role will build and deliver the team's communication content such as: executive communications and presentations, value creation updates, business unit knowledge training, system functionality updates, supplier communications, cross-functional process improvements, transformation change plans, regular employee communications (i.e. scorecard, town hall, business review presentations).
The role will identify opportunities to continually improve through standardization, efficiencies and new ways of working. This position will also work closely with various system users in identifying risk areas and solutioning, recommending, implementing effective controls to mitigate identified risks within Procurement or the systems in which Procurement is conducted and communicating the enablement journey to the stakeholders.
