Key position functions include:

  • Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of effective human resource strategies, policies and services, with the objective of attracting and retaining a qualified and motivated work force to meet the needs of the business
  • Plan and deliver a full range of general human resource services
  • Develop and implement a wide array of HR programs, including policy development, employee engagement, leadership development, compensation and classification, and change management
  • Recommend workforce planning and organizational development strategies in response to changing business initiatives and economic conditions.
  • Implement best-practice HR program development
  • Liaison with key stakeholders on program functionality, impact, and adoption
  • Heavy usage of data to determine program effectiveness, and justification for future improvements
  • Create and monitor dashboards to evaluate program effectiveness
  • External market research on industry trends, technologies, and legislation changes
  • Determine both in-house and outsourced providers for program delivery
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of effective human resources practices
  • Effectively lead and deliver a variety of human resource programs related to recruitment, retention, total compensation, employee onboarding, training, rewards and recognition, communication, and performance management
  • Model a commitment to workplace health and safety

Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:

  • University Degree, Technical School Diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 8 years Human Resources experience
  • A proven track record of providing effective problem solving and decision making
  • Experience with HR program design, specifically in the areas of employee engagement, learning and development, compensation and classification, and policy creation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to develop strong rapport and credibility with all management and employee levels.
  • Well organized, self-motivated
  • Working in an international environment an asset
