The Regional Manager, International Recruitment is responsible for helping NAIT achieve its enrollment objectives within the designated regions by managing the strategies, operations, and in-counties contractors. The manager utilizes data and an evidence-informed approach to make business decisions for the designated region. The role is responsible for planning and coordinating recruitment events and promotional activities to attract prospective students to NAIT. The Manager will also identify and create potential partnership opportunities to further develop pathways into NAIT's programs.

The Regional Manager, International Recruitment requires the individual to work closely with other internal stakeholders, such as the Registrar's office, Marketing and Communication, and other NAIT departments, to ensure recruitment of international students is engaging and efficient. The Manager is also responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, such as agent partners, Trade Commissioners, In-Countries recruitment contractors and international PSI partners. The Manager ensures that the In-Countries recruitment contractors provide prospective students with opportunities to make an informed choice and that recruitment activities attract high-quality prospective international students with a strong likelihood of success in NAIT programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with International Recruitment Manager and relevant stakeholders to operationalize the recruitment strategy within the designated regions.
  • The Regional Manager, International Recruitment maintains a high level of performance by recruiting, selecting, training, motivating, and evaluating the in-countries contractors and recruitment partners. This leadership ensures that budgets are used effectively with optimal utilization of human, fiscal, and physical resources within the region, thereby driving the success of NAIT's recruitment efforts.
  • Plan, execute, attend and/or present at recruitment activities and events in Canada and overseas.
  • Follow up on qualified leads, coordinate and execute outreach campaigns to support applicants along the enrolment funnel.
  • Maintain detailed information on, and answer questions about, NAIT programs, services, entrance requirements, application process, student awards and financial aid, etc.
  • Respond to inquiries from prospects, families, and Authorized Agents.
  • Conduct research to identify, evaluate, recommend potential Authorized Agents.
  • Act as the first point of contact for and monitor performance of in-countries contractors and Authorized Agents.
  • Analyze data to determine the most effective use of available resources.
  • Measure the impacts of recruitment activities and events to inform future planning.
  • Support development and updating of international recruitment materials.

  • Knowledge and awareness of different target audiences and their preferences, perspectives, and challenges.
  • A strong understanding of NAIT program offerings, admissions practices, and processes.
  • A strong understanding of post-secondary student recruitment and customer relationship management practices.
  • Knowledge of Canadian and Alberta post-secondary education systems.
  • Knowledge of international education curriculum, systems, and international document assessments.
  • Knowledge of Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship of Canada (IRCC) policies.
  • Ability to develop international travel plans and travel independently.

Qualifications:

  • Related post-secondary diploma is required. Bachelor's Degree considered an asset.
  • 2-5 years related experience in international student recruitment and/or enrolment management-related work.
  • Staff management and budget management experience an asset
  • Previous post-secondary student recruitment experiences an asset
  • Fluency in Hindi and/or Bengali is an asset
  • Experience and understanding of India/Nepal/Bangladesh/Sri Lanka Culture and Society is an asset
  • Experience living and/or working abroad would be assets.
  • RISIA or ICCRC license would be an asset.
  • Valid Passport and immigration status to travel internationally and ability to rent a vehicle are required.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. and work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, travel within Canada and internationally.

Remuneration: $81,289.64 - $108,886.96 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
