In this full-time, year-round position you will perform a wide variety of tasks to ensure the protection, safety and comfort of staff, guests and homeowners at Panorama Mountain Resort (PMR).
Reporting into the Health and Safety Supervisor the Safety Services Lead Hand will show good leadership skills and provide mentorship for the safety services team. They will lead by example demonstrating how to complete tasks in line with the standard procedure. They coach other officers to be operationally excellent.
The Lead Hand is an ideal role for those interested in gaining hands-on experience with the intention of a career in law enforcement, fire protection or emergency medical services. In addition, they will gain a wide range of knowledge regarding resort operations that could lead to promotion and career growth within the tourism industry.
Prior education is an asset but not necessary. Historically, successful candidates have graduated from programs such as Police Foundations, Law, Security, or Fire and Emergency Services. Regardless, Officers will receive training through PMR in a variety of programs including:
