Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Recruitment Lead will oversee full-cycle recruitment for YVR and 20 other airports in BC and the Yukon Territory, for both exempt and non-exempt positions. The position involves team supervision, collaboration and engagement with hiring managers from various departments, candidate sourcing, and other activities that support Allied Universal being employer of choice.


Role Responsibility:

Major Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Consult with hiring managers to determine staffing requirements and objectives
  • Supervise a team of recruitment and administrative professionals
  • Ensure that vacancies are posted on ATS, career sites, community and university boards, newspapers; source candidates from various databases and social media sites.
  • Review applications and forward to hiring manager/s as needed.
  • Track progress of each posting and repost and close as needed.
  • Oversee shortlisting, telephone screening, interviewing of candidates (hourly and salaried) in YVR and the Region
  • Coordinate the prescreening tests and group interview sessions
  • Ensure background and reference checks are completed.
  • Assist in creation of new job descriptions and advertisement requests.
  • Maintain all recruitment-related documents in accordance with compliance and retention standards.
  • Compile, track and maintain data for reporting, trend analysis, and planning
  • Respond to recruitment-related internal and external inquiries.
  • Participate in recruitment efforts - outreach activities, job fairs, sourcing candidates from various sources, social media campaigns
  • Assist the HR team in onboarding activities.
  • Manage and/or participate in ad hoc projects when required
  • Support other members of the HR team when needed
  • Other duties as assigned


The Ideal Candidate:

Formal Education, Licenses and Certifications Required:

  • University Degree or Diploma in Business (with a HR focus/specialization)
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in high volume recruitment
  • Bilingualism (English/French) an asset
  • Meet and maintain any applicable licensing or certification requirements.
