In the position of a Talent Development Specialist, we would ask you to do the following:

  • Lead the end-to-end development of training programs from inception to implementation.
  • Engage and manage Subject Matter Experts to compile and prepare course content for training programs.
  • Design, create and maintain all materials for training programs including slide decks, speaker's notes, facilitator training, handouts, activities etc.
  • Facilitate thought provoking and engaging training sessions to employees using a variety of training techniques.
  • Work with the Talent Development Coordinator to manage training logistics such as promoting, scheduling, invoicing, tracking etc.
  • Help deliver excellent customer service to our partner teams, employees, and external vendors.
  • Build relationships between the Talent Development team and the different Business Units and external vendors.
  • Evaluate and select training programs to be brought in for piloting.

Sounds challenging and exciting, right? Here are a few of the attributes and experience you need to be successful in this position:

  • You have 3-5 years of experience working in the Training, Learning & Development field.
  • You have experience in the development of training programs from inception to implementation.
  • You are comfortable working within a Learning Management System.
  • You have Facilitation experience and are comfortable leading training for medium sized classes both virtually and in person.
  • You are a self-starter, highly motivated and have an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • You are nimble with the ability to multitask and quickly shift focus between competing priorities.
  • You are solutions oriented and effective at problem solving.
  • You can confidently take on a project and see it through to completion without supervision.
  • Any Learning & Development certifications or designations are an asset.
