Under broad managerial direction, the People Development Specialist is responsible for the planning, development, delivery, evaluation, and follow-up of learning and people development initiatives with a focus on employee development driven by strategic performance needs of the organization.

What you'll do:

Training Program Development

  • Identify Learning Needs: Collaborate with stakeholders to assess development needs and align programs with organizational goals.
  • Design and Update Programs: Work with the Instructional Designer and Subject Matter Experts to create training programs in various formats, including workshops, e-learning, and job aids.
  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements based on feedback and assessments.
  • Data-Driven Adjustments: Use performance data to refine programs and address skill gaps.

Facilitation and Training Delivery

  • Onboarding and Orientation: Support new hires with a thorough onboarding experience that introduces them to the credit union's culture and values.
  • Facilitation: Deliver engaging training sessions (both virtual and in-person) that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Change Support: Partner with Change Management to help employees adapt to organizational changes.

Relationship Building and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Trusted Advisor: Build trusting relationships by listening, providing support, and addressing learning needs.
  • Leadership Collaboration: Work closely with People Leaders to identify department-specific learning priorities and tailor solutions accordingly.

Culture of Continuous Learning

  • Promote Learning Culture: Advocate for continuous learning and encourage employee participation in development opportunities.
  • Stay Informed: Keep up with industry trends and best practices in people development.

What you bring:

  • Strong knowledge of Credit Union policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in adult learning principles and program development.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and demonstrate emotional intelligence.
  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple training initiatives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Adaptable and resilient in supporting organizational change

Prospera offers a total compensation package of base pay plus incentives that is market competitive and reviewed against the market annually. Starting salary is normally targeted around the middle of the posted salary range, and is determined based on the successful candidate's knowledge, experience and internal equity. Our expected hiring range for this role is $68,400 to 76,000.
