As part of the Creative Optimization & Strategy team within our Performance Marketing division, you will work closely with peers across marketing, creative, and data science to drive marketing innovation and experimentation.

This role focuses on managing Shopify's paid marketing creative strategy, creative experimentation and reporting for our global program. We are seeking a Lead to drive our to accelerate the performance of our global creative program, and agency management focusing on creative across the marketing funnel. This individual contributor (IC) role does not include direct people management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement creative strategies that align with growth marketing's strategic goals across the global paid marketing program.

  • Oversee and execute day-to-day operations, including the creative process from concept to completion, launching tests, running self-serve research, optimizing and reporting.

  • Take strategic business priorities, and help develop net new creative for performance marketing. Own the brief to launch playbook for these first of it's kind campaigns.

  • Aiding in creative experimentation across all growth channels to drive optimization at scale.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams both internal and externally and across multiple geographies

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in creative tools and technologies, applying best practices to continuously improve our creative offerings.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in creative strategy and optimization within a performance marketing context.

  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret data and translate insights into successful creative strategies. Comfortable with analytics tools including Excel, Google Sheets, Mode, Tableau, SQL, and Google Analytics

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of motivating and guiding a team

  • Understanding of marketing (both digital and non-digital channels) as a way to help influence creative work. Experience running a paid marketing channel, either digital or television is helpful in this role.

  • A creative mindset with a problem-solving approach, able to generate innovative ideas under tight deadlines.
