Product Manager (Fintech & VR Solutions)

AEQ seeks a Product Manager - Fintech & VR Training Solutions to drive the vision, market research, and adoption strategy for our VR+AI Training Academy for Credit Unions. This role is critical in shaping a groundbreaking fintech training platform, forging partnerships with credit unions across Canada, the USA, and WCUC, and collaborating with industry-leading platform providers like Mambu, eBankIT, VeriPark, and Plumery.

Who you are:

As an ideal candidate, you have a startup mindset, a strong background in fintech product management, and experience taking products from zero to market fit. You will play a key role in client-led innovation, commercialization strategy, and go-to-market execution, ensuring AEQ's VR+AI training platform becomes the standard for financial services training.

What you will be doing:

  • Product Vision & Strategy
    • Define and drive the product vision, roadmap, and market strategy for the VR+AI Training Academy.
    • Lead product-market fit validation by aligning platform features with real credit union needs.
    • Partner with credit unions and fintech leaders to develop a scalable, commercially viable solution.
  • Market Research & Adoption
    • Conduct user research, pilot programs, and competitive analysis to refine positioning.
    • Define market segmentation, pricing models, and monetization strategies.
    • Develop go-to-market strategies that drive adoption and revenue growth.
  • Innovation & Partnerships
    • Drive client-led innovation through strategic engagement with credit unions.
    • Establish key partnerships with credit unions (Canada, USA, WCUC) and fintech platforms.
  • Execution & Cross-functional Leadership
    • Work closely with engineering, design, sales, and marketing to bring the product to life.
    • Manage product development sprints, backlog, and feature prioritization in an Agile environment.
    • Ensure compliance with financial industry regulations and security best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Must-Have:

  1. 5+ years of experience in digital product management, ideally in fintech or financial services.
  2. Proven track record of launching new fintech products from concept to market adoption.
  3. Deep understanding of credit unions, financial training needs, and subscription-based business models.
  4. Strong knowledge of market research, customer acquisition, and competitive positioning.
  5. Experience in Agile product development with cross-functional teams.
  6. Passion for emerging technologies like VR, AI, and gamification.
  7. Ability to analyze product data and financial models to drive decision-making
Nice-to-Have:
  1. Familiarity with VR and AI applications in training and education.
  2. Experience with digital banking platforms (Mambu, eBankIT, VeriPark, Plumery, or similar).
  3. Background in business development, partnerships, or GTM strategy for fintech products.
  4. Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field.

Location:
This position is 100% remote; however, only candidates who are based and eligible to work in Canada will be considered.

Salary:
The salary range range for this position is CAD $120,000 to $150,000 per annum.
Salary offered will be based on skills, experience, and geographical market rates.
