Human Resources Administrator, Recruiting

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Administrator, Recruiting role is a diverse position with the opportunity to expand your knowledge and/or skills in recruitment, benefit administration, HR records management and organizational development initiatives.

Responsibilities (Recruitment):


  • Identify current and prospective staffing requirements
  • Create and post job opportunities using various internet job boards
  • Review candidate inventory and contact potential applicants for pre-screening
  • Coordinate and participate in the interview and selection process
  • Conduct reference checks and any internal testing
  • Send offers of employment
  • Coordinate start dates and conduct orientation training

Responsibilities (Administration):


  • Benefit administration
  • Create new employee files
  • Create new employee accounts in our HRIS (BambooHR)
  • Manage training document sign offs in HRIS
  • Policy creation/updating
  • Other administrative tasks as assigned by the HR Manager
  • Respond to external HR requests

Qualifications:

  • 1 year of Human Resources/Recruitment experience preferred (a combination of experience and schooling will be considered)
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources
  • Demonstrated computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess personal attributes
  • Ability to work in a team or independently
  • Self-motivated, goal and detail oriented
  • Sound decision making and judgement
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Dedicated, ethical & confidential
  • 3rd party collections experience considered an asset
