As Lead Payroll Administrator, you will take ownership of the payroll processing and ensure seamless execution of all payroll-related activities across multiple locations. Your leadership will ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies while driving process improvement and fostering a collaborative team environment. This role will provide an opportunity to grow your leadership skills, gain experience delegating and providing valuable feedback to team members.
Day to Day
Lead full-cycle payroll administration across multiple locations, ensuring all payroll activities are executed with precision and efficiency.
Oversee payroll data management, including adjustments for new hires, terminations, wage changes, and leaves of absence.
Reconcile payroll discrepancies relating to taxes, deductions, pay calculations, and direct deposits, acting as the escalation point for complex issues.
Drive accuracy in month-end and year-end reconciliations for all payroll-related accounts.
Provide guidance and resolution to employees and managers on payroll and benefit-related inquiries, delivering exceptional service.
Manage benefit plan administration, including enrollment, modifications, and terminations, while ensuring alignment with corporate policies.
Prepare and reconcile monthly payments and deductions for employee benefits.
Act as a subject matter expert, providing general information and advice regarding payroll and benefits.
Handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
Required Qualifications
Must be available to work on-site
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Application Suite (Word, Excel)
Effective analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
Attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
In-depth knowledge of payroll standards, regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation or enrollment is a strong asset.
Proven experience with HRIS systems in full-cycle payroll functions.
Expertise with UKG Pro is a significant advantage, particularly in leading and optimizing payroll systems.
