As an Employee Benefits Specialist, you will work as part of the Human Resources Shared Services (HRSS) team to provide excellence in benefits support with a focus on US operations. This position plays a key role supporting employees with benefits-related inquiries and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. Working in a collaborative team environment, you will have the support to identify and implement improvement opportunities to ensure we are continuously improving our service.

Responsibilities

• Provide benefits education and support services to US employees in the JDI organization. Serve as the primary employee contact for benefits questions, issues, and claims.
• Foster and maintain relationships with benefits vendors to promote and provide education opportunities throughout the employee life cycle.
• Manage all annual compliance and regulatory obligations.
• Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Provide benefits education and support for Canadian benefits as required.
• As a team, identify and design effective education strategies and materials.
• Ensure timely and accurate transactions.
• Deliver annual benefits enrollment activities.
• Work collaboratively with our JDI Human Resource Business Community.

Qualifications

• Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma with related experience in benefits or human resources administration preferred
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations for employee benefits an asset
• Eagerness to contribute to a highly collaborative team
• Facilitation skills; virtually and in-person. Previous experience in adult education or facilitation an asset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment while delivering excellence in service
• Detail-oriented with a critical degree of accuracy
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with respect to employees' personal and private information
