About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Physician Learning, Development and Support, Medical Affairs, the Manager of Learning Development and Support is a subject matter expert resource to the VP of Medicine and Integrated Health, Zone Medical Executive Directors, and the Medical Affairs portfolio to lead physician learning, development and supports including retention and career development.

Providing province-wide leadership on strategic planning, development, and implementation of comprehensive learning programs to enhance the knowledge, skills, and professional development of our medical staff. This role requires a deep understanding of the unique needs of physicians, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with medical leadership, subject matter experts, and internal partners to drive a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the organization. They have expertise in the areas of project and change management, adult education principles, learning and instructional design and assessment/evaluation. They will be accountable for the dotted line reporting of the Instructional Design Lead role and the LMS system.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Degree in a relevant discipline such as Organizational Development, Psychology, Education, Social or Behavioral Sciences, Masters preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
  • Ten (10) years of recent, related experience.
  • Relevant training and/or designations in fields of practice such as curriculum development, instructional design, learning management systems.
  • Relevant certifications and training in Adult Education, Learning and Development or Human Resources Management through an accredited body is an asset.
  • Experience in healthcare, health care education considered an asset.
  • Experience working with senior leadership and complex systems an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse and intercultural teams considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of organizational development and effectiveness, preferably within the health sector
  • Strong leadership development and training background.
  • Practices the recognition, inclusion and support of all types and aspects of diversity at all stages of engagement.
  • Maintains current knowledge of new developments, trends and research in Physician learning and development and recommends and implements best practices accordingly.
  • Demonstrates high level of trust, confidentiality, integrity, and leadership presence.
  • Understanding of evolving trends in the practice of organizational development and workplace culture.
  • Applies superior judgment and political expertise to communicate sensitive information to, and collaborate with, a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Applies an understanding of anti-oppression analysis and inclusion principles to team dynamics.
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

  • Permanent Full-Time (100%) position, 75 Hours Bi-Weekly

Compensation and Benefits

$42.94 - $53.67 Hourly
