The Public Service Commission (PSC) is government's human resources organization supporting departments and employees to deliver programs and services to Nova Scotians. The Talent Acquisition Team works collaboratively with other service areas within the PSC and managers to lead talent acquisition strategy and planning as well as operational recruitment support.
Under the supervision of the Talent Acquisition Lead, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator is part of a team responsible for delivery of recruitment services to a multi-department client assignment. The position provides coordination and administrative support on the recruitment cycle from start to finish, coordinating the various activities of the requisition until recruitment is complete and the requisition is closed.
The Coordinator supports the Talent Acquisition Consultant in their clients assignment and assists in a variety of projects related to service improvement initiatives, policies and procedures, training, etc.

On the practical side, we're looking for candidates with post-secondary education in Human Resources. Experience in recruitment and other areas of human resources in a unionized environment would be ideal.

This position will be based in the recently renovated PSC office in downtown Halifax, with typical operating hours Monday to Friday, however occasional pressures may require work outside typical hours. While most of the time is spent in the PSC's collaborative office environment, you may be required to travel to across the province to attend job fairs and other recruiting initiatives.
This hiring pool will be used to create a pool of qualified candidates to fill opportunities (including Permanent and Term) as they arise over the next several months.

Salary Range: $1,940.61 - $2,425.76 Bi-Weekly
