What you will do

Help us attract and hire best talent! Det'on Cho We Le Dai LP is seeking an individual who passionate about people to join our team as the HR Business Partner at our Keskorie Boarding Home Location. This role responsible for the effective management of all aspects of the human resources planning and management of the company. The HR Business Partner provides leadership and coordination of human resource functions including advising and support all divisions in HR related issues.

A Day in the Life

  • Reporting to the Vice President, People, your job duties include:
  • Participates in overall company strategic planning and leads Human Resource planning activities
  • Directs and coordinates company human resource planning and management functions
  • Monitors, measures and reports on HR issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales
  • Ensure personnel have the required qualifications
  • Develop and implement training and development initiatives
  • Ensure performance evaluations of staff are completed
  • Provides advice on Human Resource issues and develops and implements Human Resources policies
  • Advises managers and supervisors on all related HR issues, human rights and employment standards
  • Develops and implements programs and incentives that will drive increased employee satisfaction and commitment levels and serves to contribute to the development of a positive company culture.
  • Maintaining Employee RTW Program.


What You Bring

  • HR Education or equivalent (certificate/diploma/degree) will be nice to have.
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience working in the Human Resources Field
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of all aspects of human resource planning and management
  • Thorough knowledge of all relevant federal, territorial and local requirements regarding human resource administration and human rights and employment standards legislation
  • Knowledge of contemporary HR development theory and methods and ability to provide advice and interpretations to directors, managers and staff within the organization
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and complete projects within the deadline.
  • Computers Skills are required to work with the Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience determined to be accepted.
  • Familiarity with Yellowknives Dene language, culture and way of life would be considered assets.
