Position Summary:

The Human Resources Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting HR functions within Horseshoe Valley Resort. This role ensures the smooth execution of HR operational activities such as recruitment, onboarding, time and attendance process, health and safety and supporting the employees and leaders to ensure that Horseshoe Valley Resort maintains a positive and engaging workplace environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Oversee entire onboarding process administratively including all internal documentation, preparation of offer letters, administering and validating all onboarding is completed within HRIS and handling and filing all pre-employment documentation
  • Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, attending job fairs and coordinating interviews for Leaders
  • Administer the onboarding e-Learning training, tracking completions and following up on any items outstanding with employees

Administration:

  • Act as the SME for the HRIS system (ADP-Workforce Now), working with departments to ensure that accurate information is recorded, maintained and up to date.
  • Lead the maintenance and entry of employee records, updating databases and creating guidelines, training and FAQ for any new system process
  • Oversee and facilitate the training for employees, Supervisors and Leaders on the HRIS and validate that practices are being followed
  • Be the main point of contact for the Payroll & Benefits Manager for time and attendance, scheduling and payroll processes for the Resort

Employee Relation & Engagement:

  • Be accessible and available to answer employee related questions and inquiries
  • Support Leaders with addressing performance issues and workplace challenges
  • Plan, execute and maintain existing employee engagement activities such as staff social events, recognition programs, employee communications, etc

Health & Safety:

  • Champion and be an active member of the Joint Health & Safety Committee, implementing and promoting workplace H&S programs in line with OHSA and provincial guidelines
  • Maintain all recording keeping for employee injury and accidents and complete WSIB processes as required
  • Act as a liaison between employees and Leaders regarding H&S concerns and feedback

Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in Human Resources, or currently pursuing
  • Minimum of 2 years of HR related experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in HR software (ADP or similar HRIS software), Microsoft Office Suite and Google suite
  • JHSC Certified is an asset
  • Knowledge and familiarity of labour laws
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks on the go
