The Manager of Organizational Development is a strategic, results-driven professional with a proven ability to design, implement, and evaluate organizational development initiatives that align with our corporate goals. The candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills and communication skills and have a collaborative approach to working with employees of all levels of the organization. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.
The Manager of Organizational Development is responsible for providing strategic leadership on critical strategy and service delivery in the areas of cultural transformation, organizational development and design, transition and change management, leadership and leadership development, competencies, and learning/development at individual, team, leadership and organizational levels. The Manager will work closely with all levels of management ensuring the alignment of Organizational Development and Learning initiatives that reinforce the required competencies, skills and culture, corporate values and that help achieve the organization's vision and strategic goals.
Leads and directs the organization's learning & development strategy and delivery to enable departments to meet business goals (strategic and operational) and plan for future development.
Supports cultural and organizational transformation to build a better, healthier and more customer-oriented workplace. Critical leader in all functional areas within the organizational people strategy. Creates mechanisms and supports to foster a high performing organizational culture and engage high performers.
Develops, implements, and evaluates talent review/career development programs and systems including, performance evaluations, succession planning, leadership development programs, and mentorships. Establishes change management, team and divisional consultation and intervention practices and strategies.
Develops and evaluates strategies to sustain and grow employee engagement including our Appreciating Cambridge Employees recognition program, engagement surveys and action plans.
Researches, develops and implements innovative and best in practice tools and methods.
Manages people resource planning for the corporation, departments, divisions and/or operating units, determining ideal organizational structures, identifying desirable role and skill mix requirements and ensuring ongoing work quality and deliverability of results. Ensures focus is service excellence, communication/transparency, innovation, and data integrity and workflow integration. Helps to break down barriers to employee success, ensuring collaboration and cooperation with other teams within their division and department
An Undergraduate Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business or equivalent.
Professional designation in Human Resources, Change Management, and/or Learning & Development.
Advanced learning in Organizational Development, Change Management, and/or Adult Learning.
A minimum five (5) to seven (7) years progressive Human Resources experience, including supervisory/management experience and in the field of organizational development including leadership development, organizational design, talent management, competency design, change management, group facilitation, training and training design, and/or providing HR strategy solutions/consultation.
The annual salary range for this non-union position is $114,005 to $139,030 (Band Level 7).

Enrolment in Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS)
Monday to Friday - 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (35 hours per week).
