About the role:

This role is required to facilitate learning to associates and leaders, through in-class and remote delivery. They are accountable to identify, communicate and mitigate learning fit and risk issues, operating as an informal leader to model and instill the Allianz values in all their learners.

You are great at:

Facilitating Learning Delivery (60%)

  • Delivering world class learning to the Allianz standard expected
  • Facilitating and supporting learner-centric training programs to multiple audiences, in multiple locations
  • Managing in-class groups of up to 20 learners per program delivery
  • Providing effective leadership, coaching, support and motivation to groups of learners, focusing on adult learning principles
  • Demonstrating excellence across the spectrum of facilitation skills, including but not limited to:
    • Comprehension and application of learning or performance objectives
    • Creating optimal learning environments
    • Adjusting facilitation approach “in the moment” to meet learner needs while continuing to drive program objectives
  • Demonstrating skill and knowledge with appropriate expertise, clear explanations, use of examples and analogies to provide context
  • Engaging learners through discussion / questioning / visual aids / tools / activities
  • Connecting key concepts for learners to organizational values, culture and strategic priorities
  • Continuous development in facilitation and delivery best practices
  • Instilling confidence in business partners that learners are getting optimum program delivery and support to meet operational metrics

Learning Assessment Delivery (20%)

  • Early identification of learner risk and fit during facilitation to initiate the risk mitigation process with Learning Manager and business partner leaders
  • Qualitatively assessing learning and knowledge transfer for both in-class and virtual learners
  • Recommending, planning and implementing learning risk mitigation strategies during and post training
  • Planning and hosting regular learning progress updates with business leaders
  • Conducting learning interventions and huddles during practicum periods
  • Coordinating any identified improvements to curriculum with the Instructional Designers

Learning Planning & Mentorship (20%)

  • Participating in train the trainer sessions and self-guided study to learn new content
  • Responsible for ensuring their learning materials are current and best-in-class
  • Collaborating with Instructional Designers to make detailed facilitator guides for all delivered programs
  • Mentoring facilitators through peer to peer observations
  • Accountable for reviewing post-facilitation metrics and adapting performance accordingly
  • Role modelling values-based behaviors in an informal leader model
  • Coordinating all aspects of learning delivery

What it takes:

  • College Degree/Diploma in Adult Education, Instructional Design or Workplace Adult Education. Adult Education certified preferred and a Facilitation certification is an asset.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in training facilitation.
  • Strong ability to present information, provide instruction and direction to manage learners
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize workload and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Customer obsession mindset
  • Learn new information quickly and collaborate effectively with internal and external partners
  • Proven virtual facilitation skills that can engage online learners
  • Demonstrated experience in adult learning theory and methodology, with the ability to apply to program development, delivery and evaluation
  • Strong technical skills and experience with learning and facilitations software
  • Ability to make an impact through influencing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, proof reading skills and documentation skills
  • Experience in the Insurance industry is an asset
  • Bilingual (English and French) is an asset
