SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Advisor will be an intricate part of the Human Resources department that services the Metro Distribution Centers within Ontario. The Human Resources Advisor will serve as a primary point of contact to union employees to support the organization in union related matters.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the Human Resources contact between the organization and union employees.
- Provide guidance and training to managers and union employees.
- Conduct Investigations and interviews pertaining to Union employee issues.
- Must be able to prioritize and multi-task, as the incumbent must adhere to strict deadlines with constant interruptions.
- Work with union representatives pertaining to union employee issues.
- Manage data and documentation collection pertaining to work related to Union employees.
- Build and maintain strong relationships and develop your credibility with mid-senior levels of management within the Distribution Centers.
- Provide counsel to the business unit's managers to independently resolve problems involving employee issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Human Resources Advisor/Generalist with a focus on Union Employees.
- Designation of a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP)/ Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) or in progress is considered an asset.
- Working knowledge and proven understanding of labor laws and regulations.
