About the Job
As an Environmental Performance Coordinator for the Aggregate Operations, you will provide strategic and tactical support to facility locations across the Grey and Bruce regions. The Environmental Performance Coordinator is responsible for assisting facility staff in adhering to corporate environmental policies, programs, and regulatory requirements. You will be conducting in-field monitoring as required by site permits and approvals and supporting the Environmental Performance Business Partners.
What You'll Be Doing
· Deliver and/or support facility Supervisors in delivering Environmental-related training programs (i.e. Enviro Talks and spills training) to employees
· Conduct and/or support facility Supervisors in conducting site-level inspections (i.e. monthly environmental inspections and permit-related inspections)
· Support the facility Supervisors and Environmental Performance Business Partners in the preparation and execution of Environmental Performance Reviews (EPRs)
· Develops and/or supports facility Supervisors in creating Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) related to facility inspections, government inspections, and corporate inspections, and provide guidance to facility Supervisors in closing out action items from CAPs
· Provides assistance to facility staff and Environmental Performance Business Partners with record-keeping requirements
· Conducts field monitoring and sampling as per environmental requirements
Here's What You Need
· College Diploma, or University Degree, in Environmental Science or similar studies
· C.E.T. Designation is considered an asset
· 1+ year experience in Environmental Science or Environmental Compliance field
· A valid G Ontario Driver's Licence
· Experience conducting environmental monitoring with a focus on groundwater and surface waters including interpreting laboratory analytical results
· Experience using field equipment such as YSIs, pH meters, water level meters and data loggers
