Job Summary

Now, if you were to come on board as our Bilingual Disability Coordinator, we'd ask you to do the following for us:

  • Coordinate the short-term and long-term disability (STD/LTD) claims process with confidentiality
  • Enter new hire information into the payroll database.
  • Calculate benefit arrears
  • Update system information to maintain accurate payroll records.
  • Provide support to field and other departments and administrative offices.
  • Receive and review all Benefit -related inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with associates regarding disability benefits, programs and additional information
  • Liaison between Benefit provider and unit managers with regard to any absences, modified work and return to work plans
  • Enroll employees in appropriate benefit plans.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma with one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Understand provincial legislation related to payroll.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Problem-solving skills - Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Technical Skills - Strive to continuously build knowledge and skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills - Maintain confidentiality.
  • Bilingual - Proficiency in French and English is required.
