The Director, Employee Experience, Culture, and Talent Solutions is accountable to ensure that SE Health is, and remains, the BEST place to work. The incumbent will have a unique opportunity to drive business performance through the design, development, and sustained delivery of flexible people-focused programs; and the indirect support for the delivery of high-impact HR services. The role will deliver program and solution support designed to define industry leading next generation people programs.

Some of the really cool things you'll be accountable for:

  • Lead the development and launch of our next generation employee experience program; an evidence-based real-time approach to understand employee engagement in an actionable way
  • Build a function focused on understanding the employee experience journey from candidacy to retirement, including instruments/tools needed to gather critical data and intelligence, turn that information into actionable insights, and support leaders across the organization to continually improve that experience - with and for our people
  • Act as a custodian of our desired culture, working with amazing colleagues to further our current and future culture as a major enabler of our people, and as un-replicable competitive advantage for our organization
  • Sustain and evolve our award-winning Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Anti-Oppression (DEIA) program so that leadership reflects the staff we serve, the organization reflects the population we serve, and ALL our people feel psychologically safe and included
  • Support our data-journey, developing capacity and approaches to organize and mobilize our data in support of strategic HR programs which will drive positive change within the organization
  • Demonstrate comfort with data analysis to effectively measure and improve employee engagement and satisfaction; including building high-level people data capabilities amongst the EX and HR teams, standardized approaches/templates to mobilize data/information to support the acceleration of business outcomes for the organization through people, and increase people data fluency and comfort amongst the broader HR team and Leadership groups to democratize and optimize data utilization effectiveness across the organization
  • Build organizational talent and human-focused HR programs related to talent, experience, performance optimization, and culture designed to support HR Service Teams (Client facing) in addition to managing and administering organization-wide programs related to mandate; including design, tool/communication support, evaluation, and continual evolution of programs to encourage relevancy and ensure that programs add value and support outcomes
  • Develop capacity and approaches to truly optimize team performance, talent solutions, engagement, retention, employee listening, workplace flexibility, and others to keep our programming and workforce supports modern, effective, and leading edge within our sector and beyond

Qualifications:

  • People Leadership experience: to design workflows and identify role responsibilities in an agile and skills-based function; engage, inspire, and support your team to be their best selves as individuals and to accomplish great things collectively. Generally developed with 5 to 10+ years of progressive leadership experience with small-to-medium sized professional support teams (i.e. 2-9 members)
  • Program Leadership experience: to acclimate to an organization, learn the business, develop strong and lasting relationships; to develop programs and services that work, and implement them with success. Generally developed over 10+ years of professional experience in relevant disciplines working with medium-to-large organizations, ideally national or international in scope
  • Significant expertise working with and leading people data analytic functions; with an ability to hands-on build team and HR department capability in this space
  • Excellent communication and story-telling skills to effectively communicate vision and strategy to key stakeholders with confidence and maturity; to compel/influence action, in particular where introducing leading/novel programs
  • Agile, decisive and capable of operating in an evolving environment where changing priorities must be juggled with timely responses to client needs
  • Capable of developing an effective business case and making it happen; experience developing and managing budgets; experience procuring and managing vendor relationships and contracts; adept at developing Human Resources plans/strategies in alignment across an HR Department and with/across other organizational departments - all in support of desired organizational culture, mission/vision, and goals/strategies
  • Interest in, and comprehension of, human motivation in order to affect behavioural change in an ethical and impactful way
  • Demonstrated life-long learner, with a proven ability to grow and develop yourself, your practice, and to infuse your teams and your colleagues with new ideas, innovations, and evidence
  • Masters' degree in a related field strongly preferred, with equivalent experience considered

Location: Hybrid; Majority remote, some in-office expectations (Markham HQ)
