Position Summary...

The Sales Incentive and Commissions Manager is responsible for setting up the design, implementation, and management of sales incentive programs and commission plans across multiple businesses to drive sales performance and achieve business objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of sales processes, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure alignment with overall business strategy. This role is new and will need to set up governance and ways of working across multiple departments and with sales associates to ensure program success.

What you'll do...

1. Incentive Program Design and Implementation
• Develop and implement effective sales incentive programs that align with business goals and motivate the sales team.
• Ensure incentive plans are competitive, fair, and compliant with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with sales leadership to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets.
2. Commission Plan Management
• Implement, and manage commission plans for various sales roles.
• Development and maintenance of commissions policies and guidelines
• Ensure accurate and timely calculation of commissions and incentive payouts.
• Address and resolve any commission-related issues or discrepancies.
• Interpret commissions policies application and determine where arbitration/escalation is required
• Serve as the primary point of contact for disputes and grievances related to commission policies.
• Investigate and mediate disputes regarding commission calculations and payouts.
• Develop and implement procedures for handling commission-related grievances.
• Ensure transparent and fair resolution of all commission-related disputes, maintaining records of arbitration processes and outcomes.
3. Reporting and Analysis
• Analyze sales performance data to assess the effectiveness of incentive programs and commission plans.
• Prepare and present regular reports on incentive and commission metrics to senior management.
• Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing sales performance through incentive adjustments.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with finance, HR, and sales teams to ensure alignment of incentive programs with overall business objectives.
• Collaborate with IT to ensure the proper functioning of commission calculation systems.
5.Compliance and Documentation
• Ensure all incentive and commission plans comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all incentive programs and commission plans.
6. Sales Effectiveness Governance
• Develop and enforce governance policies to ensure the effectiveness of sales strategies and incentive programs.
• Monitor adherence to sales processes and best practices to maximize productivity and performance.
• Conduct regular audits and evaluations of sales effectiveness and incentive program impacts.
• Work with sales leadership to adjust and refine strategies based on performance data and feedback.

Qualifications

- 7+ years of experience in designing and managing Sales Incentive and Commission Plans

- Strong relationship management skills

- Self-starter

- Strong financial proficiency
