You as a Payroll Systems Analyst will:

  • Payroll Data Conversion Mappings and Validations: Develop and implement robust payroll data conversion mappings. Conduct thorough validations to ensure data accuracy and integrity during the conversion process.
  • End-to-End Testing: Perform end-to-end testing activities for payroll systems. Identify and resolve issues, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
  • Payroll Parallel Processing: Execute payroll parallel runs to compare and validate the accuracy of payroll data between legacy and new systems. Address discrepancies and ensure payroll accuracy by applying data analysis tools and techniques to assess results against existing payroll systems, after applying transformations for expected system design and calculation differences.
  • Review and Analyze Policies and Collective Bargaining Agreements: Review and interpret policies and collective bargaining agreements as they pertain to payroll. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
  • Documentation of Functional and Technical Requirements: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business and ensure that new and changing requirements are adequately captured and communicated.
  • Workday Payroll for Canada: Utilize extensive knowledge of Workday Payroll for Canada to support and enhance payroll processes.

Is this the right role for you?

  • 2-3 years working directly with payroll solutions (Workday highly preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll for Canada is required
  • Knowledge of Canadian payroll regulations and standards.
  • You have strong data analysis skills, including tools like Microsoft Excel, SQL, etc.
  • Ability to review and analyze payroll policies and collective bargaining agreements, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Experience working with payroll and ERP system implementations and conversions.
  • Experience in documenting functional and technical requirements for payroll systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in work.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
