Job Summary:

Our company, a standout performer within the Information, Communication & Technology industry, is seeking a highly skilled, business-minded, experienced HR practitioner. As a People (HR) Business Partner, you will own the tactical day-to-day HR activities, as well as the roll-out of our HR programs for our Operations team. People Business Partners drive our People Story to secure a positive people experience by implementing actions and behaviors to empower everyone to perform at their very best.

What you will do:

  • Build strong partnerships with leaders by providing consultation, guidance, metrics, support, and development to enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Guide leaders in aligning with the company's values, purpose, and philosophies, supporting managers in employee life cycle solutions (e.g., eforms, terminations, relocations).
  • Collaborate within the People Business Partner model, partnering with the People Leadership Team and SME teams (Total Rewards, People Planning, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, and Learning and Development) to deploy solutions.
  • Proactively manage employee issues, ensuring performance issues are documented and monitored.
  • Manage labor relations and complex cases, integrating legislative changes into HR policies and practices while advising on compliance with labor laws and corporate policies.
  • Collaborate with leaders on employee relations, performance management, and people strategy, ensuring adherence to directives and local laws.
  • Lead workplace investigations and coordinate with other HR centers of expertise for seamless service delivery.
  • Engage fully in multiple HR activities within a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Influence business direction through People analytics, strategic planning, and monitoring of market/industry trends. Draw insights from data to improve processes, employee engagement, and policy alignment.
  • Coach and mentor leaders within the organization, serving as an advisor to senior Operations leaders.
  • Act as an Employee Relations Subject Matter Expert, driving associate engagement programs and enhancing employee relations, retention, and reward programs.
  • Develop and execute business strategies focused on talent management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee engagement.
  • Participate in and lead special projects and best-in-class initiatives to drive HR excellence and business outcomes.

You will bring:

  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English, with the ability to speak, read, and write in both languages.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with associates of all levels and build cross-functional relationships.
  • Strong experience as an HR Business Partner with increasing scope and responsibility, ideally in a matrix organization.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, influencing, coaching, and consulting skills.
  • High degree of professional integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Operate as a key trusted HR Business Partner to People Leaders and other members of the local/regional management team, acting as the expert on people and organizational issues.
  • Detail-oriented with a bias for action.
  • Proven experience with Canadian employment laws/policies and HR practices.
  • Hands-on experience as an HR generalist supporting a geographically spread client group with a wide variety of HR matters.
  • Experience working in roles requiring interaction with co-workers or clients in both French and English.
  • Bachelor's Degree in HR Management or equivalent.
  • CHRP designation is an asset.
  • 3-5 years of progressive Human Resource Business Partner experience, preferably.
