You as a Tech Training Specialist will:

  • Participate in project intake and discovery processes when a software training component is identified to help determine priorities and support the change management a project will typically require.
  • Assess employee needs and develop tech training related courses and/or programs.
  • Create engaging learning content, activities, and compelling course curriculum through the application of adult instructional design principles.
  • Deliver and facilitate tech training and education via live classroom, onsite training, video conference and one-on-one tech training for EllisDon employees.
  • Design and develop creative, high-quality, interactive product learning content for remote and classroom training, including lesson plans, facilitator guides, participant materials, videos, practical exercises, engaging activities, training handouts and evaluations.
  • Develop and utilize reports and analytics to measure effectiveness of tech training programs. (Intellum, Power BI)
  • Coordinate, facilitate and oversee internal training sessions on tech solutions.
  • Support communication of training initiatives throughout the organization.

Is this the right role for you?

  • 2-6 years experience in the design and facilitation of on-boarding and cross-training programs.
  • 2-6 years experience in the design, development, and delivery of e-learning solutions both through dedicated, asynchronous channels and through blended implementations.
  • French proficiency is considered an asset.
  • Experience in Construction is strongly preferred.
  • Experience utilizing eLearning tools and concepts (Adobe Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia, etc) and Instructional System Design (ISD) methodologies and instructional best practices are an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of M365 is required.
  • Financial management knowledge is an asset.
  • Tech savviness and a love for technology.
  • Excellent organizational skills, high attention to quality, detail and accuracy, combined with the ability to manage multiple high priority tasks.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to embrace and champion change at short notice.
  • Absolute Team player - High energy, enthusiasm & proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to train different audiences effectively.
  • Strong project management skills; able to identify needs, develop effective solutions and manage projects through to completion.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of productivity, manage competing priorities and work effectively with high levels of autonomy and self-direction in a fast paced, collaborative, and dynamic team environment.
  • Capacity to learn and retain knowledge about systems, processes, products, and services quickly and accurately.
  • A desire to be curious, learn, grow and drive change.
  • Experience working within a technical or engineering organization/knowledge of the high-technology industry is an asset.
