About the Job

As the Human Resources Business Partner for our Corporate Services group, you will work hand in hand with business leaders to evaluate workforce needs and you will be the point of contact for employee relations. Every day presents new challenges and opportunities to collaborate, innovate, and support our employees. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned, hands-on HR professional who thrives in a multi-tasking environment and is skilled at supporting a professional salaried workforce to ensure a harmonious and supportive work environment.

As a member of the HRBP team and reporting to the Divisional Human Resources Manager you will be based at our Head Office in Niagara supporting groups spread geographically across our Walker Operations. Up to two days working remotely is available, as well as occasional travel to various regional Walker sites as required.

You are skilled at professional recruiting, policy/program development, workplace investigations, handling complaints, and performance management. You know how to discuss objections and create productive, harmonious relationships with employees and business representatives. You have experience supporting the non-occupational disability management process.

You will provide guidance on compensation review/planning and the performance management process for salaried positions. You will partner with our Talent Acquisition Specialists and Hiring Managers on their recruitment needs and provide expert guidance and support on the selection and assessment of the best talent to meet business needs. In addition, you will support engaging onboarding programs that will make every new hire feel welcome and supported from day one.

If you are excited about the ability to have an impact, drive positive change, and make a difference in the lives of Walker employees, we want to hear from you.
