Reporting to the Learning & Development Manager, the Learning & Development (L&D) Coordinator will manage administrative functions within the Learning & Development team, including the planning, scheduling and coordination of training programs and initiatives. The L&D Coordinator will facilitate new hire orientation and other routine training programs. The job involves:

  • Performing LMS (Workday) administrative tasks including setting up training modules, assigning learners, running outstanding training reports and supporting end-users.
  • Serving as point of contact for participants before, during, and after training events.
  • Providing general administrative support for the Learning & Development team, including scheduling training, booking rooms, BEOs, vendor management and A/P.
  • Assisting in the design and facilitation of learning activities, including New Hire Orientation.
  • Creating effective communication campaigns (multimedia) to promote and sustain initiatives.
  • Maintaining annual work activities calendar to ensure all events and processes, and project-related activities are captured and up to date.
  • Maintaining standard operating procedures, program materials, and evaluations, to ensure accuracy.
  • Participating in the implementation of organizational development initiatives.
  • Ensuring all learning materials, supporting tools and manuals are prepared and current.
  • Ensuring accuracy of training modules and content by monitoring, auditing, and making appropriate adjustments as needed.
  • Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation.

The ideal candidate has:

  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in learning and development and/or training coordination and administration.
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Suite, including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Excellent communication skills and experience publicly speaking to diverse audiences.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in the learning and development field.
  • Understanding of learning management systems (LMS).
  • Ability to think creatively when problem-solving, with a focus on finding the fix that will best support organizational needs.
  • Ability to assist in the development of multi-media training materials on a variety of platforms.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and flexible.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Must exhibit the highest standards of ethical behaviour, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive issues.
