The Royal Canadian Mint is hiring a Talent Advisor who can thrive in a dynamic and inclusive environment.

Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition, the Advisor will partner with people leaders to build recruitment strategies designed to attract, evaluate, hire, and integrate the talent needed to meet the organization's strategic and operational goals. You will also provide expert guidance and support for various talent initiatives impacting learning and development, accessibility, inclusion, and onboarding to enhance the employee experience.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Partner with hiring managers to provide guidance and support through all stages of the talent acquisition process for both unionized and non-unionized positions.
  • Train hiring managers on diverse and inclusive talent practices to enhance the candidate and employee experience.
  • Contribute to the development, refinement, implementation and continuous improvement of talent management policies, procedures, work instructions and guidelines to ensure streamlined and effective practices.
  • Monitor the progress of and report on key initiatives related to Employment Equity, the Accessibility Action Plan and learning and development training plans.
  • Support employer branding efforts, including coordinating initiatives such as Top Employer applications, career fairs, networking events and external partnerships to promote the Mint as an employer of choice.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor to add value in achieving corporate goals and objectives.

This opening is to be filled on a hybrid working arrangement, and the incumbent will be required to work from the Ottawa location, on an average of 3 days a week which could change based on operational requirements.

Qualifications:

Language Requirements

  • An advanced level of bilingual proficiency in both official languages (English / French) is required at the time of hire. If a bilingual candidate is not identified, other candidate language profiles may be considered in accordance with the Mint's Staffing Policy.

Education

  • University or College Degree in a related area or an acceptable combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered.
  • Successful completion of a recruiter or Human Resources certification, accreditation or designation would be considered an asset.

Experience

  • Significant experience providing Human Resources advisory services.
  • Corporate recruitment and/or agency experience, while managing a high volume of recruitment files.
  • Experience advising employees in a manufacturing and/or unionized environment is considered a strong asset.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of hiring trends, the competitive landscape, and ways to leverage an organisation's value proposition to attract and retain the right talent.
  • Technically inclined with an advanced knowledge of HR tools such as HRIS systems, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), LinkedIn, and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Tried and tested analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to deliver high quality content with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are passionate about people with the ability to build strong, collaborative working relationships.
