What would my role be?

Reporting to the Clinical Manager, Stroke Rehab, you will:

  • Support the service delivery model and ensure the high quality of outpatient stroke rehabilitation therapy.
  • Triage referrals and coordinate access for patients to stroke rehabilitation services at Bruyère Health
  • Maintain appropriate patient flow to the program and coordinate the delivery of rehabilitation therapies.
  • Provide oversight for the day-to-day operation of the program.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Manager and physician leadership on the planning, organization, direction, and evaluation of outpatient stroke rehab services, ensuring alignment with the needs of the clientele and adherence to best practice guidelines.
  • Manage day-to-day clinic functioning.
  • Schedule and supervise staff, including conducting biannual performance reviews.
  • Organize onboarding for new employees.
  • Manage environmental safety and supplies of the program.
  • Ensure adherence to Bruyère Health policies and procedures.
  • Oversee clinic systems management.
  • Navigate patients through the outpatient stroke continuum of care.
  • Act as a resource to staff, physicians, and patients.
  • Liaise with the Champlain Regional Stroke Network and other healthcare partners.
  • Manage patient complaints.

How do I qualify?

Required:

  • Undergraduate degree in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or Speech and Language Therapy from a recognized institution.
  • Relevant experience including in the following:
    • Marketing and communications.
    • Facilitation, e-learning, and distance education.
    • Community outreach and engagement.
    • Website development and maintenance.
    • Working with volunteers.
  • Valid Certificate of Membership in a Health Professional College under the Regulated Health Professionals Act of Ontario
  • Fluent in French and English (Candidates who do not meet this language requirement are eligible to apply for this position and may be considered if there are no other suitable applicants who meet this requirement.)
