JOB SUMMARY
The Learning and Development Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination and reporting of in-person, online and virtual training, with a focus on executing learning solutions to drive efficiencies, improve performance, and ensure legislative and regulatory compliance. The Learning and Development Coordinator supports the alignment of all corporate learning to business objectives, manages the Learning Management System (LMS), administers the budgeting and procurement process, prepares the annual learning calendar/schedules, and generates and analyzes reports in order to measure impact and effectiveness.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and coordinate training offerings, communications, vendor management, and logistics.
Provide daily management of LMS and serve as point of contact for learning inquiries.
Input, monitor and analyze Learning and Development metrics, report outcomes for learning programs and course offerings.
Create and implement the annual learning calendar/schedules, including l safe work practice learning.
Assist in the development of courses, learning materials, and related job aids in collaboration with the Learning and Development team and subject matter experts (SME).
Assist in learning needs analysis to determine learning and development requirements.
Provide recommendations and support the sourcing of learning and development solutions and/or vendors as required.
Maintain working relationships with various training and technology vendors to support training delivery scheduling and instructor/facilitator selection.
Curate learning and development content for specific talent segments.
Participate in on-going Learning and Development improvements, including processes and service delivery approach.
Manage invoices and purchase orders for all Learning and Development activities.
Perform other related duties as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Post-secondary education in a related field such as Human Resources, Adult Education or Training and Development
Minimum 2 years related experience in a learning and development role
Experience and formal training combined with demonstrated performance and ability may substitute for stipulated academic requirements
Knowledge and understanding of adult learning principles
Working knowledge and understanding of Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Experience with the Workday Learning module considered an asset
Strong computer skills; proficient in the use of office productivity and collaboration tools, preferably G Suite, and other various learning technologies
Experience in analyzing data and creating reports
Experience with Articulate 360 (or other e-Learning software) considered an asset
English essential, both oral and written; Bilingual (English/French) considered an asset
Knowledge of the utility industry and electricity sector considered an asset
This is a management group opportunity and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.
