Position Title: People Strategy Partner

Job Type: Regular, Full Time Employee (35 hrs./week)

Department: Human Resources

Pay Band: $69,762 - $84,026 annually

Job Summary:

The People Strategy Partner plays a critical role in supporting employees and managers by providing expert guidance on employee relations, performance management, and Human Resource (HR) best practices. This role helps drive a culture of inclusivity, engagement, and compliance while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution

  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Address workplace conflicts, facilitate resolutions, and support mediation efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.

Workplace Investigations & Compliance

  • Lead workplace investigations related to misconduct, grievances, or policy violations.
  • Ensure adherence to employment laws, health & safety regulations, and organizational policies.

Performance & Talent Management

  • Support managers in performance reviews, goal setting, and employee development plans.
  • Assist in addressing performance issues, coaching leaders on best practices.

Employee Engagement & Retention

  • Conduct surveys, analyze feedback, and develop action plans to enhance employee engagement.
  • Oversee employee recognition and reward programs.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Integration

  • Contribute to strategies that promote an inclusive and equitable work environment.
  • Oversee the integration of equity principles in people policies and practices.

HR Policy & Advisory Support

  • Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
  • Recommend and implement policy updates as needed.

Coaching & Manager Support

· Partner with leaders to develop people management skills and foster employee growth.

Occupational Health & Safety

  • Collaborate with Health & Safety teams to ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations.
  • Support initiatives related to employee well-being.

Employment Contracts & Compensation Reviews

  • Review and advise on employment contracts and role classifications.
  • Assist in salary benchmarking and compensation strategy discussions.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certified Human Resource Professional required
  • At least five years of HR experience, preferably in the non-profit sector.
  • Strong knowledge of provincial labour laws, employment policies, and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with HRIS and data-driven decision-making is an asset.
