The HR Business Partner will perform all aspects of HR with an emphasis in the areas of administration, compliance, benefits, compensation, recruitment, development, and retention. Partnering directly with the General Manager, Director of HR and site management team, the HR Business Partner is a key member of the leadership team. What you will be doing: Working with employees and management teams to enhance employee performance, improve leadership skills, and implement HR related processes/procedures. Collaborating in design, rollout, and execution of HR programs and local policies. Collect and analyze metrics and prepares reports. Ensuring compliance with federal, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices to maintain compliance. Leading recruitment efforts, screen and interview candidates, administer reference checks, extend offers, on-boarding and retention efforts while ensuring qualified candidates are placed in positions and all equal opportunity requirements are met. Administering and monitoring leave of absence, FMLA, and other related programs in accordance with policies. Investigating, coaching, and resolving issues in a positive and creative manner with both employees and managers. Assisting with various benefits projects such as our open enrollment process, answering employee questions and resolving concerns. Supporting the implementation of corporate initiatives. Basic Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related major, with 2+ years of experience in Human Resources OR; 6+ years of experience in Human Resources in lieu of a degree Preferred Requirements: Must be a "hands-on" professional with a knowledge of HR administration, employee relations, learning and development, compliance, communications, recruiting, and compensation/benefit administration. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Be familiar with and able to work with a Ceridian Dayfocre HCM database, Workday and ADP payroll Proven ability to establish effective working relationships at the leadership level and all levels of internal and external organizations. Strong ability to mentor, motivate, and maintain the cooperation and participation of others. Strong leadership skills demonstrated through championing accountability, maximizing team and individual strengths, seeking and implementing change, and aligning with critical business objectives Excellent organizational, analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Advanced presentation, written and verbal communication skills. Rolls-Royce has entered into an agreement to divest a portion of our business to Fairbanks Morse Defense. As part of this agreement, the role you are applying for will transition to Fairbanks Morse Defense after the closing of the transaction, expected mid-year 2025. Fairbanks Morse Defense (FMD) manufactures, assembles, tests, and services a range of mission critical products for Naval Applications including reciprocating engines, motors, motor controllers, valves, actuators, water purification systems, davits, elevators, and deck machinery.
