Pickering Casino Resort and Casino Ajax are seeking a Scheduling Coordinator!

Under the general direction of the Scheduling Supervisor, this position is responsible for handling day-to-day scheduling focusing on new and existing department hires, not limited to other departments. Above all else, must lead by example to create Great Experiences and Memories for all guests and colleagues!

The ideal candidate is an energetic professional with proven knowledge, skills and abilities, executing the following in support of the company's vision, mission and values:

  • Ensuring proper staffing levels by utilizing scheduling software applications to prepare the schedule & liaise with operating departments to ensure accuracy.
  • Tracking new hires by department to organize and register employees for training.
  • Maintains and exercises a high degree of discretion and confidentiality in giving out information.
  • Meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • You will work under Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations and comply with all applicable laws, policies and procedures, while promoting and maintaining the utmost integrity and a high caliber of customer service.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • A secondary school diploma with related post-secondary education preferred, or comparable working experience in Human Resources
  • Experience of (1) one or more years in using scheduling software (VR is an asset)
  • Strong computer skills working with MS Office programs.
  • Working knowledge of computer software packages and HRIS (Connect is an asset)
  • Ability to deliver excellent guest service at all levels of the organization, and externally.
  • Possess strong organizational, time management and project management skills.
  • Exhibit a high level of professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • The ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
