YOUR IMPACT
The Principle Learning consultant is responsible for building, leading and delivering learning programs that drive high OpenText product adoption. Working with high profile clients and partners, you will drive realized value from OpenText solutions by delivering high quality and complex learning & adoption programs. Focused on building certified product practitioners, product users, and Centres of Excellence within our ecosystem, these learning programs are continuous and include onboarding and named customer management of the OpenText learning subscription program to expand credentialed users in our ecosystem. Responsibilities include needs analysis, onboarding, program management, customization, in-person & virtual delivery, mentoring/coaching, and best practice advisory services.
In this role, you will collaborate, advise and support internal organizations and consulting services teams, by designing content, building training programs, and delivering training on complex and advanced topics. In this role you will become a certified product expert and as such be assisting the curriculum development team in the design, development, update, review and beta delivery of standard course materials as well as support certification item writing.
WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
High quality education delivery both on-site and online of standard and customized product training solutions to OpenText customers, partners and employees on the OpenText products with audiences spanning from new to advanced users.
Education delivery and consulting including but not limited to training environment configuration, customization, and development of customer specific training both instructor-led and digital, technical reviews, engagement scoping, training audit, and client and project management
Maintaining knowledge of OpenText applications, training techniques, and the EIM industry.
Lead the onboarding, delivery, analysis, and execution of learning programs & solutions configured to ensure they meet client expectations, this includes the analysis and documentation of customer requirements
Drive learning services activities and deliverables during implementation aligned to the OpenText PSPM methodology and continue to execute on the Learning Services delivery framework post implementation.
Review and assess customer reporting and analytics for performance improvement, ensure value realization and make recommendations on next steps.
Working closely with the delivery manager and operations team communicate customer requirements and needs for your training projects.
Have a focus on driving certification and user adoption
Develops and/or delivers technical training courses and associated support (mentoring /coaching, best practice) to build COEs within our largest clients
Works to identify, plan and execute continuous improvement to learning products being taught/delivered
Engages at the functional manager levels and across functional groups to drive alignment and execution while professionally interacting and nurturing relationships with customers, partners, and cross-functional colleagues
Contributes to OpenText knowledge base and training intellectual property & assets through design and development of content in various formats and capturing the work product in our internal repositories.
Communicate feedback or product ideas obtained from training programs
Collecting and processing training feedback, and assessing training program effectiveness
Assists in the design and production of course materials, exercises and examples for OpenText products using various software packages such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Captivate, Adobe FrameMaker and similar software
Manage the setup and configuration of software in the classroom at OpenText sites, customer sites and regional training facilities.
Research new product functionality and associated training requirements
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
A passion for training with a proven ability to be a trusted advisor with customers, working alongside them to provide both foundational product training and accelerate skills development
Excellent facilitation and presenting skills (CTT+ or commensurate Certification an asset)
12+ years' experience in delivery of software training ranging from end user to deep technical roles.
6+ years' experience in the design and implementation of customized Learning & Development programs for global customers
Relevant experience in Enterprise Information Management, including but not limited to content & document management, Analytics, Forensics, Security, SAP solutions and/or business software consulting
Experience working with relational databases and strong SQL skills
Prior experience with OpenText software would be an asset
Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field
Self-motivated and able to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with a variety of technical and creative individuals and members of cross-functional project teams
Exceptional organization, decision making, problem-solving, interpersonal and influencing skills
Ability to recognize and implement realistic and practical "real world" solutions
Ability to work effectively with globally distributed teams
Ability to work virtually with 50%+ to include destinations worldwide, a valid passport is required
