Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your comprehensive HR expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside committed, knowledgeable, and supportive teammates. You'll shape the future of mobility by ensuring our human capital is aligned with our innovative goals. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including C&B, HRD, and line managers), providing strategic HR support and much more. As part of the HR Ontario leadership team, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to projects and policies that will make a lasting impact both across Canada and beyond.
We’ll look to you for:
HR Advisory & Business Partnership: Provide HR counsel to the business, staying close to both line managers and employees to understand their needs and develop HR actions that address them. Advise, support, and influence management on HR-related issues, ensuring all policies and rules are followed. Implement corporate and regional HR strategies to align with business priorities.
Data, Systems & Compliance: Deploy and maintain HR systems (e.g., ALPS/HRIS) with accurate data while developing metrics to measure HR performance. Ensure strong industrial relations with unions and social partners. Oversee local HR operations to support people processes, data accuracy, and EHS policies while ensuring budget accountability.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning: Manage recruitment activities by ensuring timely project staffing, workforce planning, and succession plans. Build relationships with recruitment agencies, personally interview for key positions, and provide recommendations on hiring decisions, salaries, and employment conditions. Oversee induction and probation processes.
Total Rewards & Compensation: Collaborate with C&B and HR leadership to develop and implement competitive reward policies. Ensure timely execution of salary reviews, STI/bonus payments, and incentive programs. Maintain job grading accuracy and address any C&B concerns with leadership as needed.
Employee Development & Performance: Foster manager ownership in people management through coaching and performance management. Manage the annual People Review process, ensuring development plans and feedback are in place. Implement targeted development activities, deliver key training programs, and support global initiatives to drive growth and performance.

University degree, majoring in human resources, psychology, business studies, social science or economy; or equivalent work experience
MBA with specialization in HR Organization Development (Desirable)
Certificate or diploma in business analysis (Desirable)
Proven experience at a similar level of HR responsibility
Strong experience working in Labour Relations, including Collective Bargaining, and working with unions
Generalist HR management experience covering all areas of HR management practice.
Influence and resilience within a matrix organization structure
Professional expertise in employment law issues, redundancies, payroll and employee relations
Experience of HR operational aspects (Talent availability, Salary & Benefit, Legal/Labour Compliance, Income Tax, Social Context) (Desirable)
Excellent communication skills with transparency, influencing and persuasion skills
Business acumen, being able to understand company finances, resourcing and the ultimate aim of the business is important
Confident and at ease sharing opinions and expertise
Management skills
Able to handle conflict / crucial conversation
Ability to manage time and projects effectively.
