Are you a data expert with demonstrated experience coordinating and supporting program delivery?

Join the Ministry of the Solicitor General, Ontario Provincial Police, and the North West Regional Headquarters where you will provide support services for the delivery of the Region's police training programs.

Note: This is an operational position requiring a high level of engagement with members and stakeholders. The successful applicant will be required to report to the North West Region Headquarters to perform their duties in accordance with Ontario Public Service workplace policies.

What can I expect to do in this role?

As a key player in measuring performance and ensuring data quality and integrity, you will:

• Conduct data analysis, identify trends and recommend strategies as well as ensure data integrity and security through quality assurance.
• Coordinate and track training activities for the bureau.
• Prepare reports on training activities and recommend training based on needs to senior manager.
• Provide research and analytical support to the Manager and the region, including researching, analyzing and compiling information.
• Support various training initiatives and the development of reports for training sessions and performance evaluations, presentations and program evaluation.
• Provide program support for services and activities in the unit, including assisting in the design and preparation of project plans, tracking and monitoring project deliverables, and reviewing and reporting on statistical information.

How do I qualify?

Mandatory

• Ability to pass an OPP background/ security investigation

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Data Analysis and Research

• Ability to collect, research, analyze information in support of delivering a range of projects and programs within its unit.
• Knowledge of data management, including integrity and the security of the data to evaluate and improve business processes within its unit.
• Ability to research and prepare a range of reports on research findings.
• Ability to identify and evaluate data, patterns and trends, synthesizing findings into actionable insights related to the Bureau's learning and organizational activities.

Computer Skills

• Demonstrated knowledge of HR information systems and data bases to access and analyze the data.
• Demonstrated ability to gather or extract appropriate data for specific training-related purposes and prepare various reports.

Coordination and Training Implementation

• Knowledge of training planning processes to provide support and input into process activities.
• Demonstrated ability to support program development and coordination of initiatives.
• Ability to track and respond to inquiries regarding the organization's training activities, services, and products, and provide project and logistical assistance.
• Knowledge of training programs in policing organizations.
• Proactively coordinate many activities, processes and documents within an environment of competing priorities.

Relationship Building Skills

• Demonstrated skills to work with unit staff to provide research, analytical and program support.
• Ability to build and maintain connections with team and members in other regions.
• Ability to provide or obtain information on the unit's programs.
• Ability to provide direction and guidance to others, while using tact and discretion.

Communication Skills

• Ability to respond to enquiries regarding activities and products, and with counterparts in other regions.
• Ability to respond to internal and external enquiries related to the Unit's activities and products.
• Ability to communicate data analysis and results in a clear and effective manner.
