Your Role:

Health, Safety & Environment Initiatives

  • Partner with employees and management to identify and resolve workplace safety and environmental hazards
  • Implement and support safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures
  • Assist in internal safety audits and ensure compliance with company standards and government regulations
  • Conduct worksite inspections and collaborate with supervisors to address any issues
  • Support safety committees by coordinating monthly inspections and meetings
  • Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation
  • Provide recommendations and guidance to enhance safety practices and policies

Training & Development

  • Develop and deliver safety training programs, workshops, and seminars
  • Work with external consultants and internal resources to enhance training content
  • Ensure employees receive proper training to maintain competency in their roles
  • Support a strong safety culture through ongoing education and awareness


What You Bring

  • Education & Experience: A Health & Safety diploma with 3 years of OHSE experience in construction, mining, or underground environments, demonstrating the ability to guide teams and oversee safety initiatives.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong organizational and time management abilities
    • Self-motivated, proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Training Ability: Experience coaching and training employees at all levels, with knowledge of adult learning principles
    • Presentation Skills: Strong presentation skills, both in-person and through technology, with the ability to deliver clear and engaging training sessions
    • Bilingualism: Fluency in English and French is considered an asset
