The Director, Learning and Development will lead the CSA Academy and all global Learning Centers in executing the core objectives and to formulate the strategy to drive the culture of learning in the organization globally. This role consults and collaborates with senior leaders to ensure all goals and objectives are aligned to the CSA Academy vision, strategic plan and the Leadership Framework. Responsible for the strategic planning, coordination, development, delivery and evaluation of CSA Academy programs and services for all of the organization. Responsible for promoting and contributing to the achievement of a global learning culture, where employees and managers can search for, share and apply new knowledge and skills for performance improvement in alignment with the mission, vision, values and strategic direction of the organization. Acts as an ambassador for the CSA Academy through the promotion of leadership and development in an organizational culture of learning and performance.
Responsibilities:
Directs the development and implementation of the CSA Academy strategy globally.
Directs the design, development and execution of leadership, management and talent development programs and coaching of leaders and top talent throughout the development cycle.
Ensures alignment of initiatives and interventions with the strategic direction of the organization.
Provides thought leadership and experience in learning and performance strategy and execution on a global basis through partnering with senior leadership and HRBPs to review current organizational performance and culture; make recommendations for organizational design and plans to support necessary changes
Oversees learning management system, including mandatory online compliance trainings for managers and employees. Serves as an effective point of contact for employees and managers regarding inquiries and feedback related to the current platforms and trainings.
Directs and coaches senior leaders in organizational change management and provides process support and tools.
Sources/designs, coordinates and/or facilitates CSA Academy programs in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Remains current and informed on trends and innovations in organizational design to ensure that program design supports the overall strategic direction of CSA, as well as, adheres to adult learning principles.
Introduces best practice, tools and methods that will position CSA Group to grow and be a top global performing organization.
Identifies and effectively negotiates with vendors and manages vendor contracts and relationships to deliver targeted CSA Academy initiatives in alignment with the overall strategic direction of CSA.
Collaborates with the VP, Talent and Career Development on initiatives supporting employee career growth, including identification of role-based competencies, development of career paths, focused development planning, etc.
Provides consultation, diagnosis and resources in the areas of problem-solving, and solutions for learning and development globally.
Reports to VP, Talent and Career Development and Directs a team of L&D practitioners.
Actively participates on cross-functional project teams and conducts strategic organizational assessments, including engagement and culture surveys and supports solution focused interventions and strategies.
Preferred Education and Experience:
University degree in Adult Education, Human Resources or Organizational Development.
Minimum 10 years of relevant learning and development experience.
5 years of leadership experience in related field.
Minimum 5 years of management experience.
Advanced level presentation/facilitation skills.
Certified Human Resources Leader Experience in adult education, particularly in a corporate environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead in effective people management including coaching, motivating and development planning.
Understands business demands and forecast for current and future training needs and facilitate provision of solutions.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
Advanced consulting skills and a true customer service orientation towards internal clients.
Deep understanding of multiple learning delivery methods including classroom, online, virtual, social, blended as well as emerging/future methodologies for developing talent.
Able to establish strong personal credibility and build client relationships throughout the organization.
Demonstrates ability to lead strategically, drive performance, build alignment, influence and execute flawlessly.
