Job Summary:

The Learning and Development Specialist will support the CSA Academy team projects by advising and assisting with the planning, execution, administration, launch, and analysis of various Learning and & Development (L&D) initiatives, projects, and development programs. The Learning and Development Specialist authors and delivers identified learning solutions in multiple formats in collaboration with the larger Learning and Development team. This role also has primary responsibility for Learning and Development data analytics, including report and dashboard creation within the Learning Management System.

This is a 6-month contract position.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports learning program and solution implementation through design, development, delivery and evaluation of learning.
  • Supports learning and development projects using appropriate project management tools and processes with a focus on quality and global consistency as appropriate.
  • Creates and maintains instructional materials.
  • Facilitates learning programs and workshops using a variety of modern learning technologies, techniques and formats.
  • Uses metrics and analytics to measure learning impact.
  • Uses corporate Learning Management System to maintain learning records, reports, evaluations and learning effectiveness measures.
  • Coordinates learning events and provides post-learning support.
  • Uses the coaching process to improve others learning and performance.
  • Remains current in learning industry trends and methodologies and integrates into professional practice of adult learning.
  • Actively contributes to the development and maintenance of culture of learning within the organization.
  • Is responsible for other duties as assigned.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in Adult Education or Human Resources.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Learning and Development Coordination (event planning, coordination, logistics, LMS management, data reporting, and analysis).
  • Foundational understanding of principles of Needs Analysis, Instructional Design and Learning Technologies.
  • Knowledge of computer applications such as Captivate or Articulate, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Basic Windows, Visio process mapping
  • Experience with modern learning technology including Microsoft Surface Hub and VR/AR Solutions would be an asset.
  • Proficient in the use of technology to facilitate learning.
  • Excellent project planning and execution ability.
  • Excellent time management skills.
