The Health Sector Models Branch enhances Ontario's healthcare system by establishing strategic funding, performance, and accountability frameworks. We lead sector and agency engagement for planning and performance measurement, collaborating with key stakeholders like the Hospital Advisory Committee (HAC) and Ontario Health (OH). Our branch provides divisional leadership for strategic planning, performance, and corporate reporting, supporting integration and a cross-program view to ensure cohesive healthcare management and policy implementation.

In this role, you will:

• Lead and manage a team of professionals, providing strategic direction, mentoring, and support.
• Develop and implement innovative funding policies and performance frameworks to enhance hospital efficiency.
• Foster strong relationships with hospital partners, the Hospital Advisory Committee, and other key stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary liaison for performance and planning approaches, ensuring alignment with broader health sector strategies.
• Ensure the effective use of financial and performance data to drive continuous improvement and accountability.
• Build and enhance tools to support advanced analytics functions for the division.

• You can translate complex technical data into actionable policy recommendations that support strategic decision-making and impact.
• You are proficient in financial data analysis and performance evaluation.
• You are have experience building tools to support advanced analytics and preparing statistical packages.

Industry Knowledge:

• You have a strong understanding of hospital performance and funding methodologies.
• You have experience working with healthcare stakeholders and organizations.
• You have knowledge of healthcare policy and the ability to navigate the health sector landscape.

Communication and Relationship Management Skills:

• You have experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with diverse internal and external partners.
• You have experience in preparing and presenting information effectively to senior management.
• You demonstrate clear communication skills in articulating strategy, direction, advice and recommendations.
