What is the opportunity?

In this role, you will be responsible for executing the Regional Banking Reporting strategy specifically related to Performance Analytics and Reporting. You will assist in leading all aspects of development (ETL/Tableau) and maintenance of performance information and sales reporting. Strong collaboration with Retail Reporting Agile teams.

What will you do?

  • Developing and maintaining reporting & metrics based on Regional Banking prioritized features. This reporting supports Regional Banking practice mgmt. and incentive strategies through the use of standard Project Management Processes, Agile/Scrum practices, methodology templates, and tools to meet project deliverables.
  • Work collaboratively with Retail reporting team, IT teams to leverage diversity of skills and experience and optimize the efficiency of project execution.
  • Manages the design and development of high impact and timely information that actively supports sales and service employees, leaders, advisory groups, executive and national office to manage performance, productivity, capacity and financial decisions.
  • Provide and communicate concise, timely and insightful reporting to various stakeholders, including senior management on relevant matters relating to the Cards portfolio
  • Identifies and acts on opportunities for report simplification and improving the field reporting environment through the elimination, consolidation and enhancement of report production and distribution. Strategic planning of reporting that will support KPIs

What do you need to succeed?

Must have

  • Expert Python/SQL programing and strong knowledge of relational database concepts/design with excellent scripting skills and experience with automation. Ability to independently data mine across all multiple data sources
  • Expert knowledge in BI tools integration and architecture (eg. Tableau/Oracle OAS)
  • Hands-on experience in applying agile practices - Ability to facilitate constructive debate and resolve disagreements and conflicts constructively, Ability to negotiate & influence key stakeholders across the organization
  • Knowledgeable in system thinking, design thinking and organizational behavior with broad understanding of (OBI/Teradata/Data Lake) infrastructure technology
  • Ability to develop and foster teamwork. Ability to gauge state of team to drive necessary actions to improve
  • Comfortable in ambiguous environments, able to lead with little direction and set strategic goals and outcomes based on experience. Considerable amount of creative, innovative and analytical thinking and problem solving

Nice to have

  • RBC Experience with thorough working knowledge of DWE ( RBDM, IDM, EDW etc.)
  • Exposure to reporting both front end and back end development in Oracle BI, Tableau
  • 5+ years of experience in SQL, 3+ years' experience in Python
