Manager, Talent Acquisition (Job ID: 9636)

Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition, the Manager of Talent Acquisition will directly oversee the development of a strategic recruitment and retention function that supports the organization's objective in terms of current and future hospital needs. To support this mandate, the Manager, Talent Acquisition will scan the internal and external environment to identify and assess opportunities to strengthen Unity Health Toronto's position as an Employer of Choice, and work in partnership with those accountable to facilitate positive change.

The Manager, Talent Acquisition will serve as a champion in process improvement in leading and sustaining an integrated recruitment process through ongoing engagement with key stakeholders and the use of technology enablers and innovative and leading practices to align with the achievement of our people strategy.

Accountabilities:

  • Ensure optimal customer services to meet the recruitment needs of all Unity Health stakeholders
  • Identify trends, issues and challenges in healthcare labour market
  • Develop, implement and monitor recruitment strategies, policies and programs
  • Develop and implement recruitment process improvements and recruitment service model changes
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to recruitment and management staff
  • Manage, coach and develop all staff assigned to the recruitment team
  • Foster relationships both internal and external to Unity Health
  • Develop and implement recruitment marketing plans
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships
  • Co-ordinate and oversee the provision of recruitment related statistics and data analysis
  • Manage recruitment budget


Qualifications:

  • University Degree and/or postgraduate studies with focus in Human Resources.
  • Minimum 5 years progressive strategic recruitment experience at a managerial level.
  • CHRP designation preferred
  • Experience in a unionized hospital environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in other functional areas of Human Resources an asset.
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Highly developed coaching, communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to organize projects/ workload in a busy environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications and software programs
  • Evidence of continuing professional/personal development
  • Good Attendance Record.
