Responsibilities
Conduct weekly safety inspections to help identify deficiencies and aid in corrective/preventative actions;
Conducting monitoring, sampling and report writing of a variety of physical, chemical, and biological exposures;
Complete a review of site HPD's and report on the effectiveness of current choices;
Liaise with section managers/supervisors on health and safety related matters including occupational hygiene assessments;
Conduct noise surveys, including both surveys and dosimetry, in key areas;
Attends weekly plant walkabouts and site inspections, identify if an employee's health and safety is being affected by their work and identify corrective and preventative actions required;
Ability to interact well with people; responsive and sensitive to customer needs;
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel;
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Currently completing a post-graduate degree in Occupational or Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene or Public Health Administration;
